Meet Heather Wood
Bloom Hormone Health is fortunate to have Heather Wood, NP-C, a board-certified Nurse Practitioner, joining the cause to offer superior hormone management in the Fort Wayne area. She has received training through the Hormonal Health Institute and with Dr. Bauer to treat both men and women. She listens to her patients and accompanies them on their journey to optimize their health with hormone support.
Heather Wood possesses a diverse and well-rounded clinical background. She brings over 13 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in intensive care units, along with advanced practice experience in gastroenterology, where she specialized in the management of chronic conditions such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Her years in the ICU built a strong foundation in critical thinking, acute care, and evidence-based practice. In gastroenterology, she further developed her passion for long-term,
relationship-based care, working closely with patients to manage complex and chronic health concerns.
Now specializing in hormone replacement therapy, Heather is dedicated to helping patients optimize their health, energy, and overall well-being through individualized, science-backed treatment plans. She takes a compassionate, whole-person approach and believes that wellness is best achieved through education, empowerment, and partnership with each patient.
Outside of her professional life, Heather is a proud wife and mother of two daughters, ages 11 and 9. She understands firsthand the challenges of balancing family, work, and self-care—insight that informs her supportive and realistic approach to wellness. In her free time, she enjoys making memories with her family, staying active, and continuing her education
in integrative and regenerative medicine.
